Throw in the diced onion and fry until golden brown, Adding the mince meat make sure this crumbles allow to cook through.
Before adding the rice into the pot - strain and wash the rice thoroughly under running water until clear.
Then toss in the rice with the mince meat stir well making sure the meat and rice are very well combined sprinkle in the Lebanese mixed spices and stir.
Add in 500ml of water and bring to a boil once at a boil turn the heat to low placing the lid on the pot and simmer for 20min
While your waiting for the rice cook , Place into a hot frying pan a splash of olive oil and fry the almond flacks till golden brown
Once the rice is cooked and fluffy fold through the mint, garnish using the golden almond flakes
